Introduction: This course provides an in-depth exploration of the principles and practices of individual taxation in the United States. It is designed for those who seek a comprehensive understanding of federal income tax law as it applies to individuals. The course covers a broad range of topics including the determination of gross income, allowable deductions, and credits, tax computations, and the impact of various filing statuses.

In addition to federal taxation, the course will provide an overview of state and local tax issues, estate and gift taxes, and recent changes in tax law.
